the promise of winter kept
arriving with a vengeance
snow, winds and a temperature drop
air fresh and crisp
nostrils freeze upon inhalation

Yes, I can feel that frost in my nostrils, even though we haven't had below zero temperatures yet this season. So well written!
Well said! Keep warm and have a great week. mary
I remember only too well that feeling of the air freezing when one inhales. Which is why ... tra-la! I live in Florida. Here I just have to worry about sweaty, hungry alligators. :-)

So it was slow to get to Canada as well? I wish maybe you all had not shared with us all the way down in Virginia. Brrrr - On my small stones blog even the the houses teeth are chattering. xo teri
Ok beautifully written about freezing cold!
Love it. A tad jealous too.
Sounds more like a threat than a promise but my nostrils are flaring in sympathy.
It's been a strange winter. We are usually buried under snow and it's a lot colder. Minus 17 is not that cold for this part of Canada! Winter is making a feeble attempt to arrive.
nice post! brrrr....dont like that sort of cold! 35 here in Oz today :)
